Truthfulness &Trust In Someone Is Key

Do you feel that it is hard to find a woman you are interested in?
  • NO, I feel that women really are too complex a creature to try to categorize or sum up in words like “I like you, you’re pretty” etc... I think its more that as a male we tend to eat with our eyes thinking that we can satisfy all women in a hunter gatherer sense of the word when most men fall short of even satisfying one woman.
What are some of the challenges you face trying to find a connection with someone?
  • The biggest challenges we usually put on ourselves when we both inhibit, and let our insecurities get the better of us. That’s why bars are so much fun we drink we socialize we let go of our airs and take a collective shot of reality to make it all seem better and easier. Personally I think that truthfulness and trust in someone is key. If you cant trust someone why be with them, you’re going to only hurt yourself and live in that anguish we have all put ourselves through at one point in our lives. Without trust there’s nothing. Not to say that looks and attraction don’t play a part, they do but its like ordering a meal from a chain restaurant, you’re ordering the picture hoping that’s what you get.
Do you feel that you have an advantage because there are so many women to pick from?
  • No, women have all the advantages, all the beauty, all the grace. "We men are wretched things." Thats a quote from one of my favorite movies.
Where do you go to find women that are of interest to you?
  • I don’t…I’m actually extremely shy I kinda just let it happen.

Do you feel that it is hard to find a woman you are interested in?No, I don't think its hard. What I do end up realizing is how a person's perception of me differs from the person I am. Sometimes that works in my favor, other times it hinders me. But for the most part I love my black sisters.

What are some of the challenges you face trying to find a connection with someone?Spiritually. Either I am not spiritual enough or too spiritual.

Do you feel that you have an advantage because there are so many women to pick from?
No. Because when you consider it, the demographics drop substantially once you realize how women fall under similiar catergories.

Where do you go to find women that are of interest to you?
Usually I end up meeting women, in passing or from other friends. I also find myself meeting women @ social events.

Hey Don,

Thanks for responding to my questions! I was wondering how you felt about meeting women @ clubs. Do you feel that it's an arena in which you could possibly find someone?

Love this post! I think Hispanic age 28 got it totally right about people in the social setting drinking to relax and let themselves go...I see it all the time when I decide to go out on my twice a year club outings!! LOL Dating is such a crazy beast that people make to be so much more than what it should be...trust is the biggest thing people don't want to give freely...I guess it's easier for some when they're not sober...it's really kinda sad!

@ Don...what are those categories you're lumping women in hun?? =)

I've never met a woman (relationship-wise) @ a club. I imagine it's possible but I've never experienced it. I am 35 now. I stopped going to clubs when around '01 when the mother of my two daughters and I felt we were ready to be as 1.

@ diva & malibu: they are probably the same labels which women place on men. I'm thinking they are.
